Job Overview 
Bauer Technologies is currently pursuing qualified candidates in support of a DoD contract. The requirement is to provide system engineering support services through a modern, flexible, scalable, service management and delivery framework.

Job Responsibilities
Review, research, evaluate, integrate, test, document, and provide processes, policy, guidance, and recommendations for Information Assurance (IA) and CND initiatives and improvements for customer lab systems. Apply experience with the DoD, DoD clients, IA requirements, industry network environments, and computer security standards to the configuring and testing of various lab systems. Provide engineering, operations, maintenance, and system administration for the tools and systems, including daily operations, configuration modifications, upgrades, patches, and new versions for the systems our team is responsible for on a daily basis. Perform continuous Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) risk assessment and remediation activities, as required. Participate in group troubleshooting sessions as well as interface with other customer based lab environments as needed. Provide security support for preliminary security assessments and CND of information systems. Perform security-related evaluations and provide recommendations on new technologies and equipment, as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Maintain multiple domain networks and systems running a hybrid of Windows/Linux, engineering for high availability and maximum performance
  • Maintain enterprise storage solutions across multiple systems
  • Deploy and maintain VMWare virtualized assets across all networks
  • Ensure all systems are up to date with the most current patches and kept within compliance within the customer requirements and regulations
  • Perform troubleshooting of Windows, Linux, and virtualized systems as needed, leading problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations
  • Advises customer on system engineering and architecture goals to include requirements development and review, testing and development, and system deployment
  • Possess strong technical documentation and communication skills to streamline lab operations and engage with team management, other lab staff, external organizations, and customers
  • Possess solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, application layer protocols, load balancing/high availability design, and system architecture principles. Strong scripting/automation skills or database knowledge preferred
  • Must possess a CompTIA Security + CE certification or equivalent certification which meets DoD 8570 compliance

Security Requirements
Must have a Secret security clearance as well as possess the ability to be upgraded to Top Secret
